چکیده
Pursuing the community-based breeding program (CBBP) selection of sire for Bonga sheep estimated value by six months body weight, testicle size, and physical characteristics were used as criteria. A study was conducted to investigate association traits with semen estimate their heritability. Data collected from a total 101 adult sires sheep. Semen using artificial vagina processed qualities. The variance components genetic parameters multivariate analysis animal model restricted maximum likelihood method WOMBAT software. Six different models compared dataset best-fit selected Akaike information Criteria (AIC). Direct additive effect (model 1) current dataset. direct heritability studied 0.23 ± 0.122, 0.13 0.129, 0.110, 0.09 0.036, 0.37 0.155, 0.11 0.162 volume, mass motility, concentration, spermatozoa, scrotum circumference, respectively. Moderate weight volume indicated that further breed improvement through is possible. Low good quality could be obtained improving environmental management sire. Both circumference have high positive correlation sperm concentration but negatively correlated spermatozoa production. Given strong between characteristic qualities, associated response anticipated.

Selection for Economic Traits in Chickens Breeding Program According to Genetic Parameters and Correlation Between Traits
Identification of genes determining the expression of economically important traits of plants and animals is a main research focus in agricultural genomics. Most of these traits are characterized by a wide variability of the expression of genes at certain loci called quantitative trait loci (QTL). Characterization of the chromosomal regions carrying QTL can be applied in marker-assisted Selecti...
متن کاملEstimation of (co) variance components and genetic parameters for growth traits in Arman sheep
(Co) variance components and genetic parameters for growth traits in Arman sheep were estimated, using data collected during an 11-year period (1999-2010), by applying the restricted maximum likelihood (REML) procedure under univariate and bivariate animal models. The studied traits were body weight of lamb at birth (BW), body weight at 3 months of age as weaning weight (WW), body weight at 6 m...

A deterministic model based on the gene flow method, considering the features of Iranian Holstein cattle population, was implemented in this study to evaluate the effect of altering the number of age-classes in the dams of future sire (DS) path and the number of dams required for breeding a young bull (YB), to be evaluated as future sire, on genetic gain and resultant economic efficiency of a g...

Carcass and price traits of 72,969 Hanwoo cows, bulls and steers aged 16 to 80 months at slaughter collected from 2002 to 2013 at 75 beef packing plants in Korea were analyzed to determine heritability, correlation and breeding value using the Multi-Trait restricted maximum likelihood (REML) animal model procedure. The traits included carcass measurements, scores and grades at 24 h postmortem a...
متن کاملEstimation of genetic parameters for body weight traits in Baluchi sheep
Genetic parameters for birth weight (BW), weaning weight (WW), 6 months weight (6MW), 9 months weight (9MW) and yearling weight (YW) in Baluchi sheep were estimated using data collected during a 26-year period (1984-2010). Estimates of (co)variance components were obtained by REML procedures by fitting a linear mixed animal model. Significant random effects for each trait were explored by fitti...
